The b2-ABF is designed so cartridges that suit particular interaction scenarios, transport protocols, and messaging paradigms can be plugged in as domain specific solutions. The custom cartridges might deal with fine grained scenarios such as specific point to point interaction between two partners in logistics or finance, or industry specific specifications such as those that exist in banking and utilities, all the while, matching to the specific transport protocol capabilities of a given partner.

Functional Detail

The core of the system is a massively scalable, enterprise class document centric infrastructure platform which provides an action based framework housing:

• market (external) facing cartridges to suit specific interaction scenarios, messaging paradigms, and protocol adapters.
• enterprise (internal) facing, monitor-able service endpoints for integration with back end systems under a SOA paradigm
• framework support for custom built content based routing, splitter/aggregator ( batch/de-batch ), and re-sequence/resend functionality
• configurable message and transaction logging, with an extensive and sophisticated transaction index and search engine
• search capability includes pluggable custom Transaction Sequence Rule (TSR) catalogues. TSR catalogues enable searches to recover an entire B2B interaction sequence from the discovery of one Transaction in a such a sequence
• specific outcomes of TSR catalogue search can be made available either by highly secure role-based custom GUI or as a service endpoint within a SOA
• transformation and decoration functionality enabling a document to be transformed between an industry standard schema and one or more internal, potentially canonical, representations of the same data.
